History of StoneRidge

StoneRidge Investment Partners is a multi-product investment firm offering equity and fixed income fund management to institutional investors. StoneRidge was formed in 1999 by a team of equity investment professionals including Phil Brown, CFA, Joe Stocke, CFA, Lester Rich, CFA, and Dan Cook. These four managing partners hold a majority interest in StoneRidge.

StoneRidge is 100% employee owned. In addition to the four original partners, three staff members have been allocated equity in the firm.

Our senior equity portfolio managers have worked together since 1990. The entire equity investment team left Meridian Investment Company, a division of First Union National Bank, to form StoneRidge.

The motivation to form StoneRidge Investment Partners stems directly from our managing partners’ desire to own a firm, maintain control of the operating environment and build a business from its inception. These factors create an optimal environment for generating real value and superior investment results for our clients.

The firm manages assets primarily for institutional investors, including Taft Hartley, public funds, corporations, foundations, endowments and health care organizations.
